West Bengal Beedi Workers Welfare Scheme ( Part-III )

■Grant for construction of house by Beedi Workers:
A uniform subsidy @ Rs . 10,000/- per Beedi Worker per house will be granted in two equal installments in addition to the central subsidy of Rs. 40,000/- ( recently changed) under Revised Integrated Housing Schemes (RIHS).
□ Conditions for eligibility :

A Beedi Worker who has already been granted Rs.40,000/- by the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India would be considered eligible for the state subsidy of 10,000/- as well.  The monthly income of the family should not exceed Rs. 6,500 / - per month.
□ Procedure for Application :
ALC on being informed about the sanction of grant from the Ministry of Labour and Employment,  Government of India,  will approach Labour Commissioner for release of the state grant of Rs. 10,000/- per beneficiary.
□ Mode of release of fund :
The first installment of Rs.5,000/- will be released on receipt of the first installment of the Central Government subsidy to the Beedi Worker and the 2nd installment of the subsidy will be released on receipt of the 2nd Installment from the Central Government . The entire amount of grant will be released to the Beedi Worker through the Assistant Labour Commissioner of the area concerned.
□ Utilisation Certificate :
After proper enquiry, utilisation certificate will be sent by the concerned Assistant Labour Commissioner to the Labour Commissioner, West Bengal with a reasonable time as may be fixed by the Labour Commissioner, West Bengal. ☆☆☆☆☆

★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★ □ The electric supply line must be available in the vicinity of the house proposed for electric connection. ■Procedure for Application: The application in the prescribed form in Form I as annexed complete in all respects along with separate filled in application form for connection addressed to the power supplying company shall be submitted by the applicant worker to the Assistant Labour Commissioner of the area where the house is located.     The Assistant Labour Commissioner will cause scrutiny of the applications and send the same to the local office of the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL)/ Callcutta Electricity Supply Corporation Limited (CESC Ltd.) for feasibility of the connection.
