□ The electric supply line must be available in the vicinity of the house proposed for electric connection.
■Procedure for Application:
The application in the prescribed form in Form I as annexed complete in all respects along with separate filled in application form for connection addressed to the power supplying company shall be submitted by the applicant worker to the Assistant Labour Commissioner of the area where the house is located.
    The Assistant Labour Commissioner will cause scrutiny of the applications and send the same to the local office of the West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL)/ Callcutta Electricity Supply Corporation Limited (CESC Ltd.) for feasibility of the connection. On receipt of the required clearance from WBSEDCL/CESC Ltd. about the feasibility of providing connection,  the Assistant Labour Commissioner will send the applications alongwith his recommendations to an officer not below the rank of Deputy Labour Commissioner notified for this purpose by Labour Commissioner for administrative approval of the proposal and release of grant.
■Mode of release of fund :
After approval a uniform grant of Rs. 2,500/- per applicant would be released by the Labour Commissioner, West Bengal to the concerned Regional Labour Office.
  The sanctioned grant along with already filled in application form for connection addressed to the power supplying company as stated in cl (ii) above will be sent to the said company immediately by the Head of the Regional Labour Office. If it is found that the amount released is in excess of the fund required for wiring and connection, it may be adjusted subsequently. 
■Utilisation Certificate:
After proper enquiry, utilisation certificate will be sent by the concerned Assistant Labour Commissioner to the Labour Commissioner within a reasonable time as may be fixed by the Labour Commissioner.

STATE ASSISTED SCHEME OF PROVIDENT FUND FOR UNORGANISED WORKERS (SASPFUW ) ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ ■ Eligibility & Application : ▶ All wage employed and Self-employed workers between age of 18 and 60 years in the unorganized sector in the state of West Bengal and having an average family income of not more than Rs. 6,500/- per month are eligible to be covered under the Scheme. The eligibility ceiling of family income may be re-fixed by the State Government from time to time. The family for the purpose of the scheme will include the Beneficiary, his or her spouse, the wholly dependent daughters, wholly dependent minor sons and wholly dependent parents. The period for calculation of average family income will be 12 month prior to the month in which application is made. The major source of income of the Beneficiary and income of his family members taken together should be from their work as wage employed of Self-employed workers in one or more employment or occupations
